Weddings in Tuscany
Enjoy your magical day in the heart of Tuscany. We are here to help you plan your most important day to your new lives together.
The advantage of marrying in Italy is the absence of a residency requirement. Couples can plan, get married and go on their honeymoon during a two-week period. We have our wedding planner located in Tuscany as well as your Europe Made Easy representative and will help you with all the required paperwork. In Italy, you can get married in two days. Paperwork is completed in your own country and filed before you leave. Once in Italy an affidavit is filed and you sign papers at the wedding hall in less than a half a day.
Civil marriages in Italian wedding halls have legal validity throughout the world. Civil wedding ceremonies generally take place in a town hall. These buildings are not anything like the cold, sterile buildings often found elsewhere in the world. They are ancient, historical palazzos with frescoes and beautiful Florentine or Sienese furnishings and art. The mayor or vice-mayor performs the service in Italian, and our translators interpret the vows and various articles pertaining to the couple’s new married status. It may last up to 30 minutes. Then the bride and groom and their witnesses sign documents. If you wish to have your own readings and personalized vows in addition the ones legally required, we can arrange for that as well.
The wedding certificate a couple receives is often written in five different languages. Certificates can be finalized for legalization and issued in several copies.
Catholic weddings in Italy are either a blessing from a priest, when the couple arrives with a previous civil marriage certificate, or we can arrange for a priest to perform both a catholic and civil wedding ceremony. Catholic weddings can be arranged in chapels throughout the Tuscan countryside, and we use a beautiful Tuscan villa with a park like setting where receptions can be held and guests may be accommodated. Catholic weddings in Italy may not be performed outdoors; however, civilly married couples may have a symbolic ceremony with a Catholic blessing, which can take place anywhere they choose.
Protestant weddings in Italy can be either a religious blessing or we can provide a pastor who will perform a civil and protestant ceremony simultaneously.
We are here to take care of all the aspects of your Italian wedding, from the Legal papers to be filed, Church or Civil service, supply witnesses if necessary, the reception, a photographer or video, bouquets and flowers, or organizing accommodation and the honeymoon.
